How can you apply the concepts of academic writing to your own writing?   I can apply the concepts of academic writing to my own writing by using the same ideas of academic writing in my own writing. The concept of academic writing can help me in my future. The concept can also help me improve my writing skills. It can also help me improve on the structure of my writing. I can also use the tips and helpful information that academic writing shows me.

1) Some values and beliefs that are reflected in Ancient Greek culture towards the underworld are religion. The underworld was divided into at least 4 religions, Tartarus, Elysian Fields, Fields of Mourning, and the Asphodel Meadows. 2) Yes, I do recognize similarities between the Greek's beliefs toward death and the underworld and to those that are held in my religion. One of the similarities are how when we die, each and everyone one of us either go to Heaven or to hell.  3) I think that the journey of the soul is an elaborate process because there are different religions and many different people who will end up coming to the underworld. It can't be simpler because there are many ways to "get in to" the underworld, so therefore they have to make it conflicting. 4) I think the hero needs to visit the underworld because they need to face their fears/obstacles as a hero. In "The Epic Of Gilgamesh" the hero went to the underworld to confront death....

Last quarter, the long term goals I set for myself were to graduate high school, become a pediatrician, or become a lawyer. Some skills/areas I wanted to improve on were public speaking, time management, and improving my German. I have not completed my long term goals because I am only a freshman in high school. I am trying to work on my time management by doing work ahead of their due dates. I have tried to improve on my public speaking by participating more in my classes. I've also started to improve my German by participating more in my German class.  I think I am taking the appropriate steps to accomplish my long term goals. Three subjects I would like to major at college are nursing, law, and finance. Three colleges I would like to attend are Lehman College, Queens College and York College.
