Who do we blame for Enkidu's death?

I personally think that Gilgamesh is responsible for Enkidu's death. I believe this because, in Tablet Seven it states that Anu, father of the gods, believed that one of the two (Gilgamesh or Enkidu) must die. Enlil thought that Enkidu should be the one to die. Enkidu wasn't the one who deserved to die because, in Tablet Five it states that Gilgamesh was the one that struck the monster, Humbaba, cutting off his head. In Tablet Six, it also states that Gilgamesh, once again, was the one who killed the Bull of Heaven. Therefore, it is not Enkidu's fault that he died because he wasn't the one who killed Humbaba and the Bull of Heaven. The saga of Enkidu answers our essential question (Are hero's always heroic) by showing us that even though Enkidu died, he was still a hero at the end of it.

Character traits of Gilgamesh and Enkidu

Gilgamesh's character traits are courageous, strong and conceited. Enkidu's character traits are wild and animal lover. They are alike because they were both created in the image of the goddess Aruru. On the first page in the third paragraph, it states "They thought of Gilgamesh and how this wild man might oppose each other". They are different because they don't share the same values, opinions and characteristics.
