1) The claims that Aristotle makes about the Odyssey are 2) I reacted to Odysseus's, Telemachus's, and Penelope's situation by feeling bad for them. Odyssesus was trapped and couldn't get back to his wife and son. Telamachus had to protect his mom from suitors who tried to take Odysseus's place because he was presumed dead. Penelope didn't know if her husband was dead or alive and had to protect herself against suitors. I would like to see these situations resolved so we can see how their life was before Odysseus was gone. 3) We read/listen to stories retold by family and friends even though we know how it ends to relive the moment/memory. You could also have closure because you know how the story started and ended.

            The topic I am most passionate for is Puerto Rican Literature. Some of the foundational work/texts I plan on using for my project are Manuel Alonso's "El Gibaro" (1849) and Manuel Zeno Gandia's "La Charca" (1894). Both of these pieces of literature are among the most important novels to emerge from Puerto Rico in the nineteenth century. The modern Puerto Rican text I plan on using for my project is Pedro Cabiya "Historias Tremendas". This piece of literature was voted best book of the year by the Pen Club. A list of questions I will use for my research and reading are "Who are the authors of the literature/texts/" and "Why did they write this certain literature about Puerto Rico?"

         One civilization/culture whos literature I want to research is Germany. Another civilization/ culture whos literature I want to research is Puerto Rico. I want to research Puerto Rico's literature because I am Puerto Rican and I think it will be fun/interesting to learn about the writings of my culture. I am most interested in learning about Germany's literature because I am learning the German language.. I think learning/researching their literature can help me learn more German, while also learning about their culture/writings.

           Three strengths that I have are I am determined, respectful, and I am also a fast learner. My three major/long term goals are to graduate high school, become a pediatrician, or become a lawyer. Three areas/skills I wish to improve on are public speaking, time management, and to improve my German. I plan on achieving these goals by working hard and persevering. I also plan on working on my skills by continuing to stay determined with everything I do. I will also continue to be respectful and keep my mind open to learning new things. The only obstacle in my way of achieving my goals are knowing it will take time. I can be cleared of this obstacle by being patient and working hard.
